The umbilical cord brings blood and nutrients to the fetal pig from the placenta through a series of blood vessels. As well as it takes wastes, such as carbon dioxide, away from the fetus.

There were 4 toes on each foot, 2 larger ones in the front and 2 smaller ones in the back. The toes were slightly curled also.

The gallbladder is located under the 1st lobe of the liver on the pig's right side of the body.

The pancreas is a bumpy and creamy tan coloured organ underneath the stomach and intestines.

The inner lining of the stomach, as viewed by the eye, appears to be a dull pink--almost brown. However underneath the microscope it is a lighter pink with a yellowish tinge. Many little folds, that look like little hills, line the inside of the stomach.

2. What is the function of the mesentery?
The function of the mesentery is to hold the internal organs in place with thin sheets of tissue. It also supplies them with blood supply and nervous input. It extends from the abdominal wall and attaches the small intestines and other organs to the wall.
